We have been busy in the shop getting ready to reopen!
The Welsh Government update last week suggested we will be able to open again on April 12th, we are keeping everything crossed that this can go ahead. For small shops in Wales, this second lockdown will have actually been longer than the first one, which feels crazy to think about now!
We have spent this lockdown catching up on all the odd jobs that are hard to do when we are open! We have had some new carpet laid at the front of the shop, the door mat releveled and some work done in the stock room. We are hoping this is all done and finished before we open our doors to everyone again!
Along with the bigger jobs, we have spent some of this week rearranging our shelves. We have taken everything off them, cleaned and disinfected, and then put everything back. A proper 'Spring Clean' if you will!
It has made such a huge difference and the shop is starting to feel fresh again.
Please see the below image that I shared on our Instagram (@yesteryearstoyshop)- it was at this point that I regretted suggesting the switch around! Thankfully it all came together soon after and I'm SO pleased with the result!
I have also begun to put orders in again! So slowly the shop will be filling up with new goodies, as well as stocking up on old favourites of course! We are so happy to be starting to function as a proper shop again after such a long time of being open and closed (I can't believe it has almost been a full year since we closed the first time)
Roll on April 12th!
